ICT Level 2

What you'll learn

You will develop knowledge and understanding of IT skills and competencies which could include: basic desktop
technology, application software, security management, IT support processes and tools, the use of communications and mobile technologies. You will also demonstrate competencies in the workplace and the skills required for further training and education.

Entry requirements

There is no requirement for any specific prior learning but ideally, you should have level 1 certificate in ICT or its equivalent and you will be asked to an initial assessment to ensure you are capable of reaching the required standards.


The course is accredited by OCR. At the end of the course, you will achieve a Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ). You can progress to further study in Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) and into employment.
