What you'll learn

On this course you will learn how to create imaginative ways to read aloud with your child/children and to encourage their personal growth and development in reading and learning. You will also learn how to perform the story to engage with your children.

You will decorate a story sack, practice being more expressive and make some props to bring the story alive.

On the course, you will:
• Choose a story to share with your family
• Plan and decorate a bag and make a variety of resources relating to an identified book
• Develop your self-confidence, practicing reading out loud using a range of vocal skills to bring the story alive.

This short course takes place on Wednesday mornings after you have dropped off your children. You can also attend with your pre-school children.
Starting on 10th March to 31st March.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements, only Hackney resident and UK residential status.

This online course is taught using on Zoom. moving to a venue when safe to do so.

What does this mean for me?

Our courses are normally taught in person. To keep people safe during the coronavirus pandemic, we're doing all our teaching online instead.

You'll need a computer or smartphone with a good internet connection.

Your tutor will send you detailed instructions before lessons start.
