We have a fantastic opportunity for you as our Data Technician. You will be an important part of the organisation, helping the Radio Technical team with inputting and updating technical statistical data, as well as assisting the installation team and radio frequency teams (training provided).

About you

For this opportunity, you will be ambitious and confident, with an interest in the technology, data, engineering and providing our technical department with support. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in the telecom / technology industry and to climb the ladder for a successful career in Radio Network Engineering.

You will be learning and putting your new skills to practice within our friendly team. You will be trained in all areas of the radio engineering and services. Day to day, you will be involved in predictions / mapping, data updating, producing reports, taking part in equipment configuration and other radio planning activities. After successfully completing the training period there is potential for a full-time position with future learning opportunities with us.

Main Responsibilities:

· Helping to gather technical and statistical data, updating multiple databases / registers, radio predictions on radio planning tool or Google maps and running reports.

· Producing RAMs (Risk & Method Statements), booking access to sites and making sure we have access approval on time.

· Supporting radio team in configuration of radio & testing equipment.

· Input of accurate records into our CRM (SalesForce) database and general housekeeping of data.

Requirements for the Technical Apprentice:

· Mathematics and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths or equivalent)

· Good knowledge of windows & office, and especially MS Excel skills

· Some understanding of networking and relational databases

· Comfortable with getting hands on configuring equipment

· Have a high attention to detail

· Knowledge of any GIS system is desirable e.g. Map info, Esri

· Basis understanding of general diagrams, designs and maps.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Desire to succeed in a career in data and engineering

· And… most importantly… an interest in technology
