About Immediate Theatre

We work with young people and communities in Hackney and East London to ensure access for all to arts activities that break down barriers and engage people in debate. Immediate Theatre’s vision is for a society where questioning, articulate and motivated people create and collaborate to build thriving communities.

The Role

  • To take a lead role in the operation of film and digital equipment for projects
  • To edit recorded digital content using appropriate editing programmes
  • To work closely with the staff team to help research, plan and facilitate the production of film and digital content as needed across the different teams
  • To assist the Training Manager in the delivery of Employability workshops (film led) ensuring participants complete daily learning outcomes
  • To assist with record keeping and administrative duties
  • To carry out outreach and development work to engage new participants in projects
  • To attend and contribute to project and team meetings and take part in training, supervision and company development activities as required

About You

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of and a keen interest in film and digital media
  • Self-motivated with great attention to detail
  • Experience in working as part of a team
  • Competent Microsoft Office user
  • Experience in editing programmes for film and audio – i.e. Adobe Suite and Final Cut Pro 
  • Good time management skills and experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Good organisation and administrative skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

  • A desire to develop a career in the Arts 
  • Experience of working with young people
  • Knowledge of Hackney and the East London area

The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS check prior to confirmation of employment
