About Immediate Theatre

We work with young people and communities in Hackney and East London to ensure access for all to arts activities that break down barriers and engage people in debate. Immediate Theatre’s vision is for a society where questioning, articulate and motivated people create and collaborate to build thriving communities.

The Role

  • To provide support to ensure effective administration across the company including an overview of schedules to ensure resources are in place for activities
  • To support all aspects of office management including ordering stationery and supplies, maintaining office/company equipment and systems and keeping the office in order
  • To provide administrative support for all participatory projects, events and programmes
  • To take a lead on specific administrative projects
  • Support Team meetings, including taking and distributing minutes and information
  • To support the Marketing Officer in developing and maintaining Immediate Theatre’s presence on social media,
    generating relevant content where necessary
  • To maintain and update Immediate Theatre’s website
  • To support the development and distribution of marketing materials for all programmes
  • To support with email marketing for specific projects where necessary
  • To support fundraising activities and campaigns where necessary
  • To attend and contribute to project and team meetings and take part in training, supervision and company development activities as required

Essential

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated with great attention to detail
  • Very competent Microsoft Office user with the ability to provide basic computer support
  • Good time management skills and experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities.
  • Experience and understanding of social media channels

Desirable

  • Strong knowledge and a keen interest in community arts and theatre
  • A desire to develop a career in the Arts
  • Knowledge of Hackney and the East London area

The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS check prior to confirmation of employment
