ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Rochester, Kent, Stonegrove Ltd provides end users and main contractors with the very best in electrical installations, control systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.

We are seeking a dedicated and committed Project Manager apprentice who lives in Hackney to join our team on East Road, Hackney N1, to support the construction of a 23-storey high-quality mixed-use building consisting of new office space and a hotel.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE APPRENTICESHIP

  • General assistant to Services PM for the project.
  • The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the senior project manager, site manager and relevant supervisors in planning, organising, and executing the project.
  • They will work under the guidance of an experienced team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • The Junior project manager will be responsible for monitoring the work of employees under their supervision and ensuring that they are meeting project deadlines. They will also collaborate with coworkers on project tasks and oversee the allocation of resources.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of construction management process.
  • Basic knowledge of MEP services.
  • Communication skills.
  • Administrative skills.
  • IT capabilities and knowledge.
  • Development skills.
  • Disciplined.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Relevant competencies to be able to attend site unsupervised and carry out basic tasks, for example a CSCS, CITB based site competency card.
  • Attendance at your college when required.

Interview date – 22nd September
1 week work trial – w/c 02 October
Employment start date – w/c 31 Oct or 6 Nov

Permanent places will only be allocated after a successful interview and one week work trial.
