ABOUT EQUANS
Equans supports businesses, communities, and the public sector by providing low-carbon energy solutions, technical and facilities management (FM) services, and transformative regeneration projects across the UK and Ireland.
MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE
- Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works, ensuring clear communication and great service.
- Assist tradespeople with their daily duties as directed.
- Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Load and unload deliveries.
- Work on social housing properties, both occupied and void.
- Undertake all work to a high standard with minimal health and safety risks.
- Provide a courteous and considerate service to residents and members of the public.
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork where necessary.
- Take responsibility for personal and workplace safety.
- Care for and maintain company tools.
- Order and take delivery of materials for programmed works.
- Attend all relevant training courses, including health and safety training.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills – approachable, tactful, and diplomatic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of construction in social housing and occupied homes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must hold a valid driving licence.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Desirable
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
- Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g. First Aid).
