Role purpose
The Team Leader will provide support and guidance to members of the team, to achieve excellent customer service and high-quality products whilst applying health and safety practices and standards, and control of stock and wastage levels.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
General
- To work within Benugo policies and procedures at all times
- To support Benugo vision around People, Product, Customers and Profitability
- To demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence and deliver against Benugo service standard
- To engage with the team in a collaborative and constructive manner.
Role specific
- Assist the management team in the day-to-day running of the shop and act as deputy in their absence
- Organise the team on each shift and allocate duties as necessary
- Train, support and develop the team to deliver consistently excellent results, measuring their performance
- using the appropriate tools
- Maintain availability of product and staff to required levels
- Communicate with FOH and BOH team to ensure product excellence and availability, correct ordering and
- stock control
- Offer suggestions for improvement of existing processes
Customer service
- Monitor customer comments and constantly look for improvement
- Investigate any complaints and ensure that corrective action is taken where relevant
- Have a presence on site throughout the day especially at peak times to identify or solve issues
Finance
- Understand variable costs and sales drivers
- Understand the shop P&L
- Assist the site manager with closing the week procedures
Other:
- Attending any training and or meetings as required by the company
- Representing the company and yourself in a professional manner
- Taking responsibility for your own personal development at work and striving to be the best in what you do; taking pride in your work
- Participating in performance reviews and actively engaging in discussions around personal performance objectives with relevant line manager/s
- Adhering to all statutory company policies and procedures
- Ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhering to the health and safety regulations concerning your employment and promoting and ensuring a safe environment for yourself, your colleagues and clients
- Any other reasonable tasks that may be required from time to time
