The role 

The Technical Production Manager role at London College of Fashion works closely with the Cultural Programme team and Internal and External Relations department to provide creative solutions to showcasing needs from different areas of the organisation to bring LCF content to life for internal and external audiences. The post holder technically designs and produce showcases to an agreed budget and using project management techniques to document and evaluate the success of each delivery. They will manage staff and budgets, as well as liaise with creative teams and manage technical suppliers.

The role has an exciting scope to put forward creative ideas to fulfil showcasing objectives across a variety of venues, formats and scales. Those departments which comprise the showcasing and events teams will work collaboratively to provide a support network to deliver creative ideas, as well as being hands-on and present to manage the delivery of these productions.

Requirments 

The ideal post holder will have a cultural interest but a focus on practical and detailed technical production and delivery. They will have the planning skills, logistics focus and creative problem solving, to deliver exhibitions and displays in a number of different spaces. Showcasing is embedded in the fabric of LCF, building relationships with staff and students to really bring LCF to life, having a problem-solving outlook and sharing knowledge for the benefit of those around them.
The Production Manager will have excellent project- and time-management skills, prioritising workloads and communicating deadlines effectively. They will be an expert in the field of producing events, exhibitions and showcases, but will also be a team player, developing their own team but working collaboratively with others and reporting and evaluating to senior teams. They will be proactive and hands-on, understanding that work hours may be irregular, but having a solutions-focused attitude.
