Exigere is offering an Apprentice Assistant Surveyor position!
Start date – This opportunity is aimed to start in September 2025 (or earlier).
Working hours/times – Monday to Friday; 9am – 6pm; 40 hours per week.
Location of the role – Morelands, 5-23 Old Street, London, EC1V 9HL.
ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
Exigere is currently looking for an apprentice to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative and award-winning practice delivering some of the most exciting projects in London and the South East.
We work with clients such as Google, Meta, Sky and X on projects, assisting them with construction budgets from start to finish.
This apprenticeship runs alongside a 5 year Quantity Surveying degree with the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). You will be working in the office 4 days a week and the fifth day will be studying the online course from home.
This apprenticeship will require approximately 15 hours of study per week.
MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE
You will be assisting senior members of staff with the following activities:
- Reviewing and measuring information produced by design teams.
- Growing construction technology knowledge through site visits.
- Post Contract roles such as interim valuations.
- Presenting costs to clients and key stakeholders.
- Benchmarking internal projects.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 96 UCAS points = A minimum of 5 A-C (4-9) GCSEs (including Maths & English) AND 3 A-Levels at grades CCC or above / BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at grades CCC and above.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Curiosity and a desire to explore and understand the built environment.
You do not need to already hold a CSCS card to apply for this apprenticeship.
