ABOUT ZIP WORLD

Zipworld is due to take over the operation of the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Olympic Park Stratford from the previous operator in 2025.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Commercial Site Manager enables Zip World to achieve its core vision of Adventure Unlocked in a safe environment whilst delivering team engagement, customer satisfaction and maximising commercial performance. Responsible for motivating all departments at site to deliver operational excellence, you will do this by building high performance customer centric teams using your leadership skills, operational discipline and commercial acumen.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver operational excellence across all departments and identify ways to increase margins, drive customer satisfaction and generate site efficiencies.
  • Commit to delivery of the “brilliant basics” philosophy across all departments.
  • Ensure that all departmental facilities and equipment are well maintained and inspected according to SOP’s, company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Track the daily site opening /presentation checks for all departments and delegate any remedial works to appropriate teams.
  • Ensure all teams present the site according to the brand standards.
  • Monitor the revenue and participant numbers for the site, seeking to undertake corrective action as required, with support from other departments as needed.
  • Control of all aspects of the site P&L and budget process.
  • Monthly review of site P&L with agreed actions with the Area manager.
  • Quarterly site commercial review with the Exec group Monitor, review and control the use of resources to ensure expenditure is controlled within the budget throughout the year.
  • Development and delivery of the annual budget.
  • Monthly P&L reporting to Area manager, managing sales forecasts, site purchase budgets and budgeted sales revenue.
  • Developing a talent plan for the whole site team.
  • Drive increases in employee engagement and team retention.
  • Accountable for site recruitment, planning of training and development of site staff including coaching and mentoring team members to maintain high customer service standard.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
