The Dusty Knuckle Bakery is recruiting for Production Chef to be based in Hackney.
ABOUT THE DUSTY KNUCKLE BAKERY
The Dusty Knuckle Bakery is a purpose driven business which operates two busy sites serving very high quality food and drinks whilst also distributing bread and pastry to other businesses. Whilst we consider our products at TDK to be some of the best in London, we are about much more than just baking and cooking. TDK runs a youth training programme.
We provide work-based mentorship/support, training, and employment opportunities to at risk youth, including those with offending histories. We believe in equipping trainees with the confidence, skills, personal accountability, and support network to develop productive, functional lives. We have worked tirelessly since 2014 to grow the business from a fledgling start-up in a 40 ft shipping container into a profit-for-purpose food venture with strong brand recognition and a loyal following.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking, producing and learning to join our new Central Food Production Team. You will be learning our processes in an encouraging environment whilst having an active role in our trainee program; specifically working with and training kitchen trainees. Production chefs will work with our CFPU manager to produce a variety of DK products including savory rolls, toasties & counter sarnies.
Numbers will be high and shift patterns early, so an enthusiasm for perfecting processes and early mornings is a must. This role is perfect for someone looking for the first steps into the kitchen, as lots of training will be provided, or someone who would like to move to a more structured shift pattern. As this is a new section, our production chef must be enthusiastic and great at taking on feedback, with a strong interest in our
training program.
