ABOUT THE ROLE

To deliver high-quality cleaning services across residential and commercial properties, ensuring all areas are maintained to a professional standard. As the company expands its footprint across London, particularly in the boroughs of Hackney and Newham, this role serves as the primary point of contact for delivering excellence in the following areas:

Ensuring Health and Safety Standards

The role is centered on creating safe, sanitized environments. This involves meticulously cleaning high-touch points—such as door handles and switches—and sanitizing kitchens and washrooms to prevent the spread of germs. The operative is also responsible for identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues, acting as an essential “set of eyes” on-site to maintain property integrity.

Delivering Diverse Property Solutions

Operatives provide specialized care across a wide range of environments, adapting their techniques to meet the specific needs of:

• Private Residences: Maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of individual homes.
• Communal Areas: Cleaning shared spaces, corridors, and stairwells in residential blocks.
• Commercial Spaces: Ensuring offices and business environments remain professional and welcoming.
• Specialist Projects: Supporting intensive cleaning requirements, including end-of-tenancy deep cleans and post-construction “after builder” cleans.

Through reliability and attention to detail, the operative helps build trust within the local community, supporting the company’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality employment routes for local residents.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Cleaning residential homes and communal areas.
• Cleaning corridors, stairwells and shared spaces.
• Dusting and wiping surfaces.
• Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and washrooms.
• Cleaning high-touch points (e.g. door handles, switches).
• Supporting the end of tenancy and after builder cleans where required.
• Ensuring all work meets company standards.
• Reporting any maintenance or safety issues.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

• Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the right to work in the UK.
• A DBS check (or a willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

• Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.

• COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) awareness or certification.
