Kitchen Assistant / Porter

Hours: Mon to Thurs- 8am to 8pm, Friday – 8.45am to 5pm. Specific hours and days will be spoken about with the employer during the interview.
Location: 105 Dunsmure Rd, London, N16 5HT

ABOUT THE ROLE

Experienced Kitchen Porter/Helper required for a busy and well-established Fishmonger and Deli specialising in Kosher food products in Northeast London. The role involves supporting food production operations, assisting in the kitchen when required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, food production, or food preparation environment.
• Strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn HACCP-based Food Safety Management System (FSMS) procedures.
• Good communication skills with a minimum B2 level of English proficiency.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist with food production, kitchen support, cleaning, and general porter duties as required.
• Good attention to detail to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Customer service awareness and a professional, positive attitude.
• Eligibility to work in the UK with valid right-to-work documentation.
