Help is available with employment goals, including support with CV development, job applications, interview coaching, access to jobs & apprenticeships, links to courses including ESOL & English and vocational training to help prepare you for work.

Come along to the Homes for Ukraine Community Cafe and enjoy free refreshments, meet each other, and talk to staff working on the Homes for Ukraine scheme within Hackney Council.

Building Bridges is a programme dedicated to supporting refugee health professionals who are looking to restart your career in the UK. If you’re a refugee or asylum seeker with permission to work, currently living in London, with a professional health qualification, and an upper intermediate English language level, then you should complete this contact form.

ReConnect to Education – Preparation for Higher Education Programme

For those wishing to enrol into higher education and or to participate in a Teacher Training (PGCE) Programme at UCL Institute of Education or other higher education institutions.  The Reconnect Programme is run by experienced academics and practitioners.

The Refugee Council provides crisis advice, mental health counselling and practical support to help people settle and integrate into their new community.

E5 Baby Bank

The E5 Baby Bank gives families in need essential items such as clothes, shoes, toys, books, food and baby equipment. All items are generously donated by the local community. We work with refugee families, trafficked women, survivors of domestic abuse, parents affected by the pandemic and other families who need our help.

Xenia

Xenia brings together women from all nationalities and backgrounds for conversation workshops that support English language learning and social integration, with childcare provided at every workshop and travel expenses reimbursed for those who need it.

HostNation

HostNation is a great way to make a new friend, practice your English and explore new places! They help refugees and asylum seekers find a local friend to help settle into the UK. They will introduce you online ad when you are both ready, you can meet face to face for outings to places like local cafes, parks, markets or museums.
