PURPOSE OF JOB

Connect2Hackney looking for a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join our team based in schools around Hackney and the surrounding areas.You’ll play a key role in keeping our school clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications and Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Essential

• Previous cleaning experience in a professional setting.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and with good attention to detail.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required (can be arranged if needed).
