ABOUT ESK BALUSTRADE SYSTEMS

ESK Balustrade Systems is an architectural metalwork company, with over 20 year’s extensive experience in the field of balustrades, structural steelwork and general architectural metalwork, based in Essex, but cover London, Greater London, Kent and Essex.

With a team of long standing professional draftsman, structural engineers, metalworker and fitters they design, manufacture and install carefully crafted architectural metalwork and steelwork for both large scale domestic and industrial projects.

Using mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel they create the design and finish you are looking for, whether that be painted, galvanised or coated with a polyester powder or polished to a mirror or satin finish and have built a successful reputation, with all work coming from previous and existing clients and word of mouth.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main duties will involve installing Handrail and Balustrade Systems (using various fixings systems);

  • Steelwork.
  • Glass.
  • Cladding & capping.
  • Walkways and access products.

Lining and levelling components as you go and overcoming site issues.

  • Report to your Site Supervisor.
  • Ensure you follow the Method Statements and Risk Assessments for the relevant tasks.
  • Ensure equipment is checked and safe to use before starting work.
  • Report any health & safety issues to the Site Supervisor and stop work if it is unsafe to continue.
  • Report any accidents or near misses to the Site Supervisor.
  • Ensure handover sheets are completed.
  • Make sure your training is kept up to date and relevant for the job.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Certificates required

  • CSCS Green Card.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Asbestos Awareness Training.

Experience

The employer is willing to offer training for those who do not have the system experience, however, you MUST  have a minimum of 2 years construction labouring experience.

Hours: 8am – 5.00pm – (1 hour lunch)

Location: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, East Wick & Sweetwater Phase 2, Waterden Road, E20 3AZ
