ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Fleet Specialists are core to running our service and make Voi successful. As a Fleet Specialist you are part of a team that, dependent on local business needs, is responsible for maintaining, repairing, transporting and repositioning vehicles as well as swapping batteries when they are depleted. The business needs will determine the relative time spent between these tasks for any given shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fleet Management team is responsible for all of Voi’s in-field operations, driving operational excellence to keep the vehicles available to our users where and when they need them, making the most out of our fleet at the lowest possible cost, while keeping the fleet tidy. Your main responsibilities will be repairing and transporting vehicles and batteries. For tasks performed outside our warehouse sites, Voi will provide you with a suitable vehicle depending on local business needs.
Day to day duties:
- Maintain and repair Voi’s fleet of vehicles, either at our warehouse locations or fixes out in the field.
- Ensuring our fleet on the street is always available to users by performing battery swapping tasks in the field as efficiently as possible.
- Take care of the equipment provided to you to do your work and while following to local laws and regulations.
- Diagnose vehicles which are not functioning and suggest repair action to be taken.
- Clean dirty vehicles before deploying them onto the streets.
- Recycle and disassemble vehicles which are broken beyond repair.
- Assist in receiving, packing and deploying new vehicles and batteries arriving at the warehouse or vehicles / batteries needing to be sent to another location.
- Adhere to defined Health & Safety procedures set out by Voi in all the tasks you perform as part of your work.
- Ensure a high quality standard for our vehicles in the field by identifying damaged vehicles, rebalancing wrongly parked vehicles, tidy parking spots and lift vehicles that have fallen over.
- Search, find and transport vehicles and batteries from our warehouses to the streets and vice versa in the most efficient and safe manner.
- Make sure that our vehicles are deployed in a safe and compliant way, while being easily accessible by our users and not posing a nuisance to the citizens of the city.
- Rebalancing vehicles, which means collecting vehicles from low-demand area to replace them in high-demand areas.
- Be friendly, helpful and respectful to any member of the public that approach you on the street while performing work and to your colleagues in the warehouse.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications, Knowledge & skills:
- A valid full UK Driving License is a prerequisite, with a maximum allowance of 6 points for minor offenses and no major offenses, ensuring compliance with the requirements for our e-Van insurance. It is important to note that, in accordance with our insurance policy, candidates must be over 21 years old and have held their driving license for a minimum of 12 months.
- Previous work experience.
- General digital worktool knowledge (using apps, slack, gmail).
- You speak either the local language or English fluently.
- Ability to work in shifts across daytime and evening.

Advantageous criteria (non-essential but desirable):
- Past experience repairing any sort of vehicle
- Past experience as a driver in a logistics or transportation company
- Forklift license, fire protection education, first aid training & ADR Certificate
- Interest in electric micro mobility vehicles (bikes, scooters etc.)
