MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is focused on supervising and overseeing Multi Trade activities for both directly employed operatives (DLOs) and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include:
- On-site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day multi-trade activities, drive productivity through effective planning and allocation of tasks and manage the performance of both in-house and subcontracted trades.
- Resource & Workload Planning: Effectively plan and allocate resources to ensure workload is completed on time and to a high standard. Monitor progress, adjust schedules as needed, and optimise productivity.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted safely, adhering to Health & Safety protocols, conduct and review risk assessments and lead toolbox talks to ensure safety awareness among the workforce.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure that work meets high standards. Ensure the timely delivery of works in line with contract requirements.
- Client & Customer Engagement: Maintain good communication and build relationships with clients and customers. Address any concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
- Administration & Reporting: Maintain documented records of all processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Oversee In-House systems to provide regular reports on performance metrics, including progress on Health & Safety, quality, and productivity.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- IT competent.
- Have a clean, full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of multi-trade activities and a good grasp of health and safety standards.
- Have experience of overseeing a team of operatives within planned maintenance and reactive emergency works (Local Authority/Social Housing sector including occupied homes and voids a distinct advantage.)
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferable.
- Knowledge of Retrofit preferable.
Salary – Up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience).
Location – Hackney Office, E5 8QP (covering Hackney and surrounding areas).
Working Times – Monday to Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Equipment provided – Laptop, company mobile, company van, and purchase card.
