ABOUT THE ROLE

Honest Homes is recruiting for a Property Manager, based in and around the Hackney, N1 area. Real estate experience is a plus, but not essential.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Listing Optimisation:

  • Work on enhancing the Airbnb listing – This includes improving the quality of photos, crafting compelling property descriptions, and ensuring that all relevant details are accurate and well-presented to attract potential guests.

Guest Communication:

  • Manage guest communication effectively.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, provide detailed information, and ensure a smooth booking process.
  • During guests’ stays – be available to address any questions or concerns promptly.

Check-In and Check-Out Assistance:

  • Assist with the check-in and check-out process.
  • Be available online while providing necessary instructions, and ensure a seamless transition for a positive first and last impression.

Cleaning and Maintenance Oversight:

  • Coordinate with cleaning services and maintenance professionals to ensure the property is well-maintained and prepared for each new guest.
  • Address any issues promptly to maintain the property’s high standards.

Pricing Strategy:

  • Utilise data-driven strategies to optimise pricing.
  • Adjust rates based on demand, local events, and seasonal trends to maximize the property’s revenue potential.

Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to handle unexpected situations or emergencies.
  • Having a plan in place for issues like lockouts, equipment malfunctions, or guest concerns is crucial for maintaining a positive guest experience.

Local Recommendations:

  • Provide guests with local recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and services.
  • Enhance their overall experience by offering insights into the community and helping them make the most of their stay.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about local regulations and Airbnb policies.
  • Ensure that the property remains compliant with all legal requirements, such as taxes and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Regularly evaluate the property’s performance and guest feedback.
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with the host to implement changes that enhance the overall guest experience.

Flexible Support:

  • Offer flexible support based on the host’s needs.
  • Some hosts may prefer hands-on assistance, while others may require more behind-the-scenes support.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Real estate experience is a plus, but not essential.
  • Skilled in communication (written and verbal).
  • A people person; solution-focused with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Responsible, resilient, and trustworthy (these are people’s homes after all!).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Organised, with strong time management.
  • Must be highly responsive (much of the work is staying online/available and being ‘married’ to the phone).
  • Must have a sense of urgency to close projects.

This role requires a candidate that is super flexible, and must also be able to work on weekends.

There is a 3-6 months probationary period for this role, and a permanent contract will only be offered once this probation has been successfully passed.
