Trainee Site Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

An entry-level apprenticeship position with a facade contractor focused on hands-on training in the installation, repair, and maintenance of building facades. The role offers exposure to industry-standard techniques, safety practices, and the fundamentals of facade systems, enabling the apprentice to develop practical construction skills under expert guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist skilled trades people in installing and repairing facade systems (e.g., cladding, curtain walls).
• Prepare work areas, hand tools and equipment.
• Learn to read blueprints and technical drawings under supervision.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support project teams in routine inspections, maintenance tasks and day to day IT forms.
• Attend meetings whenever required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential Skills & Qualification

• Basic understanding of construction principles or related coursework.
• Basic IT skills.
• CSCS card required, NVQ, SMSTS desirable.
• Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or above.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop.
• Basic math skills and ability to measure accurately.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent Time keeping and punctuality.
• Ability to be self sufficient with independent thinking.
